Sizzlin' Summer!

Summer has arrived in Texas already. We spent most of the day on Saturday cleaning up the back yard, and it was really hot. The temps were in the 90's all weekend. We didn't ge to the back yard last year as we were getting ready for the anniversary party, and then I was down with my knee, and surgery. It has taken me days to get stuff cleaned up, planted, and Vernon helped me finish up on Saturday. The gazebo is showing signs of age, some of the wood is rotting out. I think it is 7 years old this July, but still looks awesome. Vernon did such a beautiful job on it. Hopefully he can build us another one when we buy another house. Our back yard is our inviting oasis, until it gets too hot or the mosquitos chase us in. Can't wait to eat dinner on the patio again.
I will post some pictures at a later date. Of course now, free time is at a premium, and now have hardly any time to do any posting, as you can tell by the frequency of my posts. I will also publish some pictures and details of Vernons great motorcycle trip to Big Bend. He drove over 2,500 miles in a week. He had the best time though, and we are planning a trip like this next spring. I will try to get back to a post or two soon, keep checking back.
My battery died in the middle of this post, and had to charge up, but since then I planted my Sago Palm in the cool pot I bought Friday. It is so pretty, and I put out our new solar lights in the side yard. I finished at 10:10 p.m. Again, I will post some pics at a later date. It will be a busy week coming up and its race weekend this weekend too. See you in September!!! No only kidding - hopefully.
